User Experience

Control Tower

Your operations, visibly improved. No more disjointed processes across multiple platforms and data sources. All of your active tracking data and communications is aggregated into the same easy-to-use view.

Understand The Main Map View

The main view in the Control Tower displays all active tracking sessions for your account. Each dot on the map represent a single tracking session and are color coded based on their ETA in relation to your delivery appointment or close window of a FCFS (first come first serve) facility.

Green - On Time / Ahead of Schedule.

Yellow - Behind. Shipment potentially can be on time but trending late.

Red - Can't Make It. Expected delivery window or appointment has already been missed or logic to make the time is impossible.

Purple - Offline. MacroPoint received data from carrier but currently not tracking. See Tracking Statuses to learn more.

Gray - No ETA to calculate. Typically this means the shipment is delivering. Gray also could indicate no appointment or delivery window was supplied on the order therefore MacroPoint cannot generate an ETA.

Note: MacroPoint recalculates ETAs and coloring (if applicable) with each new location update captured on the tracking session. MacroPoint does not assume a new ETA without a new location update, a historical ETA will always be displayed otherwise.

Hovering over a specific shipment will spotlight key details of the tracking sessions including:

  • Customer load ID
  • Carrier name
  • Current status with number of hours ahead or behind schedule to delivery appointment
  • Current location with associated time stamp
